The Process
Day

Day
1

First, you will be assigned
to a team of four friends.
-
You and your team will complete
the Energy on the Internet Scavenger Hunt
to
learn important basic information about energy and to become energy experts.
You need to:
-
get four copies of the Scavenger
Hunt.
-
split your team into partners
called Pair A and Pair B. Each pair will explore/study half of the
general
information web resources. All team members will try to find
as many of the answers to the Scavenger Hunt as they can. Many answers
can be found on more than one site.
-
share what you found on your
Scavenger Hunt with other teams as needed.

Day
2
-
Prepare to take the Governor's
Energy Quiz.
-
Study your scavenger hunt information.
-
There are also practice
quizzes and games you can play.
-
Each team member will take the
Energy Quiz "Energy and Sources of Energy".
Day
3
-
Each team
member will choose one source of energy from the lists in Scavenger Hunt
#9
and #10 to study in depth.
-
There is a Study
Guide to help you gather good information and a helpful list of web
sites about energy sources.
Days
4 & 5
-
Once you have completed the
Study Guide, you will need to meet with your team to compare the
information you gathered and decide which source of energy your team will
recommend to the Governor.

As a team, develop one report
to convince the Governor that your team's energy source is best.
Your report can be in the form of a PowerPoint,
HyperStudio or Informational Web Page and must include the following
six parts. Each team member must contribute to this project by choosing
one of these six parts to write individually. The remaining two parts
may be done in partners.
