Welcome to Third Grade's November Turkey Project Students in Mrs. Blevins and Mr. Cunningham's classes decorated turkeys and then wrote descriptions of their turkeys for each other's classes to read and recreate using the Internet. Below are Mrs. Blevins' class original descriptions of their turkeys. 1. Madison's Turkey My turkey has two blue diamond shaped eyes. It has two brown legs that are made from a triangle and a long skinny rectangle. It also has two rectangle shaped claws. There are 8 oval shaped feathers. One black, one white, one purple, one pink with brown on top, one blue, one yellow, and one green. They are each about 4 inches tall and one inch wide. My turkey's body is a brown oval shaped body. It is about 4 inches wide and about 5 inches tall.

2. Cameron's Turkey First, you cut out a brown circle and then make a black beak and then put brown feet on the bottom and add a brown head and blue eyes and blue feathers.

3. Nathan's Turkey First, I make the big brown body by cutting the paper into a circle. Then I cut the head in a little brown circle and make black eyes for it and a yellow beak. Then I make the feathers black and yellow like an oval shape. I make a black rectangle beard and the last thing I have to do is the yellow feet. I just make it like shoes.

4. Kyleigh's Turkey There are five feathers and they are all different colors. It is a big circle with a little circle for the head and it is brown. Make yellow feet. Put one white eyeball. It has 3 toes. They have 3 claws. It is brown.

5. McKenzie's Turkey My turkey has two black square eyes, a red beard, two yellow rectangle legs, a yellow beak and 3 feathers. A black feather, a green feather, and a brown feather. My turkey has one big brown circle and one small brown circle. My turkey is 8 inches tall and about 5 inches wide.

6. Dalton's Turkey First for the body, you have to make an oval about 16 inches and make a neck in a shape like a square and it is 1/4 of an inch. The head is a circle and it is 6 inches on each side. The beak is 2 1/2 inches. The tail feathers are 5 1/4 inches. The beard on the chest is 1 1/2 inches. The eye is one centimeter and the height of the body is 11 inches.

8. Haley's Turkey First you make a brown oval that is 8 inches and then make a brown head and then make some red, purple, blue, yellow, and pink feathers. Make a brown tail last. Make a yellow beak and some brown legs. Make a purple eye. Make a red gobbler.

9. Johnny 's Turkey First, you put the head on the body. Then add 6 feathers on the back of the turkey. Then add a beak with a gobbler on the beak and feet with 2 wings. The head has to be brown. The beak has to be yellow. The gobbler red. Then the last colors of all are the 6 feathers: put red, black and yellow twice. The beard is black shaped like 2 claws.

10. Kaylope's Turkey I traced the body. For the head I think of a real turkey's head. Then I traced it. Then I cut it out. For the feathers, I just think of a color and then I just glue and the color of the feathers are camouflaged.

11. Matthew's Turkey My turkey has a yellow beak and yellow feet and 6 feathers and they're yellow and blue and a circle that is brown for the body and it is 7 inches.

15. Haylie's Turkey First, get brown paper. Make a circle and an oval. Then get a lot of colors for the feathers and the feathers are rectangles and make yellow claws and a triangle beak and it is yellow too. It has white eyes.

17. Morgan's Turkey Make an oval for the body. Then make 6 rhombuses for the toes. 6 squares for the legs. One circle for the eye. One red rhombus for the gobbler. 5 big brown rhombuses for the feathers. One big black rhombus for the wing and one square for the neck.

18. Claire's Turkey To create the body, you need a brown piece of paper. Cut into an oval. Up and down is 3 1/2 inches and from side to side is 2 inches. To create the head, cut a circle out of brown paper. Up and down is 1 1/2 inches and side to side is 1 1/2 inches. To create the beak, cut out a yellow triangle. Up and down is 1/2 inch and side to side is 1 inch. For the eyes, cut a green circle that is 1/2 inch. Both ways is 1/2 inch. Do that 2 times. For the pupil, a black circle that fits inside the green circle. For the feathers, you need blue, pink, black, yellow, and purple paper. Cut them all in rectangles and cut the corners. All feathers are 3 1/2 inches up and down. For the legs, cut out 2 yellow rectangles. Both are 1/2 inch. For the toes, cut out 3 yellow rectangles for each leg. All the toes are 1/2 the size of the legs. Finally, glue the body to the head. Glue the pupils to the eyes. Glue the eyes to the head. Glue the beak to the head. Glue the legs to the body. Glue the toes to the legs and glue the feathers to the body.
