Hallsville Elementary Belief Statement, Mission and Instructional Program
Belief Statement We believe all students can learn and we must provide the opportunity for a good basic education for our students through a system that encourages success.  Education is a cooperative effort between all stake holders.  Students and staff should exhibit honesty, self-respect, respect for others, be self disciplined, self fulfilled and motivated to be productive. The school will provide a support structure that considers the individual potential of each student and provides opportunities for each child to reach her/his potential.
Mission Statement Hallsville Elementary School is a community in which students, staff, parents and patrons unite in a safe, positive and nurturing environment to acquire the skills needed to achieve their maximum potential as lifelong learners and responsible citizens.  The staff at Hallsville Elementary School will: 
  1. Develop an environment based on high expectations in which all students are given the opportunity to achieve success.
  2. Facilitate the growth and development of all students through relevant curriculum and instruction that emphasizes active learning, creative thinking, problem solving and authenticity.
  3. Model lifelong learning.
  4. Develop a community in which all individuals will learn and display respect for self and others. 
  5. Ensure strong, effective leadership through high levels of collaboration and communication.
  6. Implement the district discipline policy consistently and fairly.
  7. Promote parent involvement in meaningful ways.
Instructional Program Hallsville Elementary is a pre-k through 4th grade school.  The instructional program is guided by the district philosophy, mission , state performance standards, district graduate expectations, and curriculum goals and objectives.  As much as possible an integrated instructional approach is used.  A wide variety of learning activities actively involve students in the learning process.
