In the 9 years that I have been involved with the Lady Indians golf team, we have never brought home a trophy. Yesterday afternoon we changed that by bringing home a 2nd place plaque from the Paris Invitational Tournament!!
Amber Horne finished the 18 hole round with 88 for a 3rd place medal. Sam Heinrich placed 7th with a 97. Katie Williamson missed 10 place by 5 strokes with 107. These are the best 18 hole rounds ever recorded for these three girls in their high school careers!!
Alex Green played in her first Varsity competition and finished with 124 to give us a team total of 416, and 2nd place for the team. Nicole Shoop turned in a 132 in her second event. Nicole's score would have still kept us in the 2nd place slot (if we'd used it instead of Alex's) since Salisbury finished with 425 for 3rd place as a team.
Our plaque and picture are in the hs office!!
