Evaluation Criteria:
- Name and unit title included
- On the stage, at least three images present. One image for each holiday or event. Use animated rollover buttons to perform the following:
- Provide a title or description of an object or image
- Add animation to the "static" images.
- At least one invisible button, that provides some type of visual cue to users
- Visual Design: Colors, backgrounds, buttons, and text work together to create a clear and easy viewing experience.
- Images should not have backgrounds, and traces of background around an image; should fit within the overall design. For example, images with a white box border that are added to a different color background will diminish the quality of the visual design.
- Original text is displayed rather than a substitute font on a user's computer; use common fonts or embed (will discuss embedding during Unit 7).
- Interface Design:
- Size of the Flash movie limits scrolling for the interaction and viewing. Be mindful of different monitor sizes and resolutions for optimal viewing.
- User can easily find and use all buttons
- All the symbols in the library are named and well-organized.
- All symbols in the library should be named, with appropriate naming conventions (See page 118)
- All button symbols follow naming convention
- Apply button and movie clip naming conventions, as suggested in the chapters.
- The library should only contain the necessary symbols.
- All the layers in the timeline are named and well-organized.
- The Flash movie and animation does not loop.
- The authoring design is efficient, meaning unnecessary frames, symbols, and layers are not used.
- All elements (required and optional) work appropriately.
