This week we are working on the Constitutional Convention Delegate Biography project. The tentative due date is Wednesday. I handed back the Geography Vocabulary Quiz and Map Skills Quiz on Friday. Those students who received a 75% or below can do test corrections and those are also due on Wednesday. As a reminder - I have several students who still have not received a 100% on the Geography Exit Test. They can come in during advisory or after school to take the test. If you have any questions, please contact me! Have a good week.
We are beginning a new chapter on Magnetism today and it should take us through the next two weeks. The last chapter test proved to be a little challenging to most so we are going to work extra hard on out study skills for the next two weeks as well. Please feel free to contact me if you have any comments or questions. Have a great week!
For the next two weeks we will complete Chapter 8, Rates and Ratios. Please review the website for nightly homework.
This week the students are presenting their "How To" speeches. So far, the students are doing a wonderful job. On Wednesday, the students will have time to prepare for the literature circle meeting that they will have on Friday. Each week, the students will meet for 1 hour a week to discuss the literature circle book they have been assigned. Each week they need to come in prepared for the meeting or they will not be able to participate in that week's meeting. The first meeting is this Friday and it will be every Wednesday for the next four weeks. The first independent book for the quarter is due next Thursday (Feb 7th) for 50 points. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Currently in Reading we are reading My Side of the Mountain , a fantastical adventure. It's a coming of age survival story.
