About Mrs. BryanKids always have questions about teacher's "real lives, so here's a bit about me: Cruise June 2005 I live in Columbia with my husband, Bob and two kids, Andrea and Bobby. My daughter is a fourth grader who attends Lee Expressive Arts Elementary School and Bobby is an eighth grader here at Hallsville Middle.
Andy and Bobby at Disneyworld - Summer 2006 I was born in St. Louis, MO and lived in Warminister, PA during elementary school. We moved back to St .Louis while I was in Jr. High and I graduated from McCluer North High School in 1980. (Yes, I'm that old!) I attended Mizzou for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I earned my degree in Secondary Education, with a major Speech and Drama with a minor in Dance in 1984. I finished my Master's in Education, Counseling and Guidance, in 1987. Columbia is also where I met and married my husband in 1986, while working at Campus McDonald's. In the fall of 1987, I moved to Rolla, MO and taught Speech and Drama, Language Arts, Study Skills and Introduction to Computers at Wood Middle School on the Fort Leonard Wood Army Base. I also taught Communications for Drury College. In 2000, my family moved back to Columbia, so my husband could take a job as the Director of Information Services with the City of Columbia (computers). I went back to school when I turned 40 to become certified as a Media Specialist. I have been the Media Specialist at Hallsville Middle School since the fall of 2003. I love being a Media Specialist because every single day is different, plus there's all those great books to read! When I'm not at school, I love to travel!!! Ask me about Disney World, Washington, D.C., Mall of America or Williamsburg, VA, all places I went this summer. I'm planning on going to Hawaii next summer. I also read a lot (big surprise), do crafts and puzzles. It may come as a surprise to know I still dance. Both my daughter and I take classes at DanceArts in Columbia.
