Enrollment & Registration

2020-2021 Registration 

Online enrollment and registration for all kindergarten students, new students, and returning students the 2020-2021 school year will open on Monday, June 22, 2020, at 8:00 a.m.  All registration and verification documents must be completed and submitted by Friday, July 31, 2020.   

Kindergarten Registration

Online enrollment and registration will open on Monday, June 22, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. for all children who will be 5 years old on or before July 31, 2020, and will be entering kindergarten in August 2020.  If your child is planning on attending Kindergarten Jumpstart, all registration and verification documents must be completed by Wednesday, July 15, 2020.  If your child is not planning on attending Kindergarten Jumpstart, all registration and verification documents must be completed and submitted by Friday, July 31, 2020. 

 

Step 1:  ONLINE REGISTRATION

 

Current Families:  

For families that already have a student enrolled in our district, please log-on to the Parent Portal/TylerSISK12 to start your child’s registration for the 2020-2021 school year.   

Adding New Student:  If you are adding a new student to an existing Parent Portal/TylerSISK12  account, please proceed to the online documents portion of your existing child’s profile.  From there, click on student information, then at the bottom of the screen click “add student.” 

 

New Families:  New families to the district must set-up a Parent Portal account using our Parent Portal/TylerSISK12 student information system.  Click the above link and under “Parents” you can click the link “Register New Family.”  

 

Online registration must be completed using a computer and can not be completed on a smartphone device.  For families that need access to a computer, on-campus registration will be available the week of July 13 - July 17.  Please call our district registrar, Angie Cochran, at 573-696-5512 ext. 334 or email registration@hallsville.org to set-up an appointment.  For health and safety reasons, walk-in registration will not be allowed.  

Important information about your email:  Yahoo and Hotmail email addresses are not always compatible with SISK12 when sending emails to parents. Gmail accounts are preferred during registration. For assistance with SISK12, contact Hallsville R-IV School District's SIS Coordinator, Pam Scott, at pscott@hallsville.org

 

Step 2:  COMPLETE RESIDENCY & NEW STUDENT VERIFICATION FORM

 

All families with incoming kindergarten students must complete the Residency & New Student Verification Form.  Students will not be a registered student with the district or allowed to attend school until the full enrollment process is completed and the district has the required documents on file with the Registrar’s Office. Documents needed to complete the Residency & New Student Verification Form are:  

  • Copy of Child’s birth certificate

  • Copy of Immunization records

  • Copy of State issued ID of the parent on the birth certificate.  If unavailable, a parenting plan or other legal document must be supplied to the school.

  • Acceptable Residency  Verification Documents:

    • Two (2) current and different utility bills (gas, water, or electric) showing the parent/guardian’s printed name and address.  Bills must be dated within the last 30 days.  Final or disconnect notices will not be accepted.

OR

  • A current rental agreement or closing settlement statement less than 60 days old. 

The information you provide does NOT need to include financial details; these may be covered or deleted.  Other bills (e.g. cell phone, cable, insurance) are not acceptable proof of residence.   All documents submitted for residency verification must show a guardian’s name and matching in-district address provided in the SIS K-12 Parent Portal. 

 

Submitting Residency Verification Documents:  

 

Documents can be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by U.S. Mail, Email, Fax, or to the district’s Registrar’s Office.  More information can be found at the bottom of the Residency & New Student Verification Form.

 

Kindergarten Screenings:  

Kindergarten screenings will take place in the first couple of weeks of school during the regular school day.  

 

New Student Registration

Important information about student email accounts: While working your way through registration, your student may have an email address automatically filled in a field. Please do not delete this. Our school uses email to communicate with students for class assignments and to convey information related to the district. Please leave the email address in the field. 

 

 

 

Step 2:  COMPLETE RESIDENCY VERIFICATION FORM

 

At this time, the Residency & New Student Verification Form only needs to be completed for incoming kindergarten students and new families to our district.  If you are a returning family to our district and do not have a kindergarten student, you will not be required to complete this form this year.
