Welcome to the new school year!  We have many fun and exciting activities coming up.  Please join PTO and complete the attached member application to volunteer and get involved!
PTO has a Leadership Board which guides our activities throughout the school year.  Last year's board included President Jennifer Blumer, Vice President Theresa Howe, Membership Laura Kabrick, Secretary Deanna Rowland.  Penny Fadler continues as treasurer.  Election of new officers will take place at the September 19th meeting.  Please contact Suzanne Stillwell with nominations or to volunteer as a nominee.  We welcome any parents who want to participate whether it's for one activity or several.  Leadership opportunities are always open!  There are several committee chair positions open and many board members would love to have an apprentice/co-chair.  Contact any of the Board members if you are interested.

 Fall Fund Raiser - August 25 - September 9
This Fall, PTO is doing The Mid-Missouri Passport Coupon Book and The Fairway Card Golf Discount Card fundraiser and we need your help!
Please help us spread the word:
 1)  Forward this information to friends and family,
 2)  Post the fundraiser info on your Facebook page along with link to Passport site to see book/card details:
http://fundraise.thepassportbook.com . Be sure to ask them to choose
Hallsville Schools during checkout (if they buy online) and write in your
student's name for prizes.
 3)  Look for packets that came home with students on Thursday, August 25, 2011.
Two ways to buy this year:
 1)  Buy online and get early delivery! Go to http://fundraise.thepassportbook.com .  During checkout, select Hallsville Schools and enter a student's name to give him/her credit for your purchase.
 2)  Buy through the regular fundraising process.  Order Packets went home with students on Thursday, August 25, 2011.
The Passport Book is a great deal:  Save Hundreds of Dollars at more than 350 locations throughout Mid-Missouri!

 Gravy with Grandparents - September 12-16
Hooray for Grandparents!   To celebrate Grandparents’ Day, PTO is sponsoring a biscuit and gravy breakfast for students and their grandparents.  Have your child invite them today!  See attached reservation form for details.

 Intermediate Curriculum Night - September 15 - 5:30 - 7:30 pm
PTO will be helping with refreshments! Be sure to stop by our membership table.
 Ice Cream Social & PTO Kick Off Meeting - September 19
Come enjoy ice cream, elect new officers, set our budget and plan for the coming school year!
This meeting will be at the Primary starting at 6:30 pm.
 Create-A-Gift Family Night – October 17
Enjoy creating ceramic gifts.  This event takes place in the Intermediate from 6:00-8:00 pm.
