In 1st grade at Hallsville Elementary reading is a top priority. Our curriculum allows for a variety of teaching styles and strategies. Active learning, using a wide selection of literature, emphasizing fundamental skills, gives our students a solid start in reading and writing. The school's computer lab and the addition of classroom minilabs offer technological support with exciting programs. The use of centers enhances all areas of learning. We teach "hands-on" math that offers real life skills. At Hallsville Elementary 1st grade is challenging and FUN!
