Enrollment & Registration

2023-2024 Kindergarten Registration

Online enrollment and registration will open on Tuesday, February 21, at noon for all children who will be 5 years old on or before July 31, 2023, and will be entering kindergarten in August 2023.  All registration and verification documents must be completed online and submitted by Tuesday, March 21, 2023.  All registration and verification documents must be completed online and submitted prior to attending Kindergarten Jumpstart in June.

 

CURRENT FAMILIES WITH STUDENTS ALREADY ENROLLED IN THE DISTRICT:  

 

Step 1:  ONLINE REGISTRATION

For families that already have a student enrolled in our district, please log on to the Parent Portal/TylerSISK12 to start your child’s kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year.   

  • Make sure the academic year says 2023-2024, then click "view" on the yellow highlighted bar: 


  • Click the blue "edit" link next to student information:

  • To add a student to an existing enrollment, click the "+" at the bottom of the student information document, as circled here:

Please update the information for the current student. Their picture will be shown in the top left corner.  After completing the current student registration, it will move on to the new student.  The new student will not have a picture in the top left corner. 

NEW FAMILIES TO THE DISTRICT

 

New families to the district must set up a Parent Portal account using our Parent Portal/TylerSISK12 student information system.  Click the above link and under “Parents” you can click the link “Register New Family.”  

 

Online registration must be completed using a computer and can not be completed on a smartphone.  For families that need access to a computer, on-campus registration is available.  Please call our district registrar, Michelle Threlkeld, at 573-696-5512 ext. 1440 or email [email protected] to set up an appointment.  

Important information about your email:  Yahoo and Hotmail email addresses are not always compatible with SISK12 when sending emails to parents. Gmail accounts are preferred during registration. Step 2:  UPLOAD REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

 

All families with incoming new students must upload the following documents in .jpeg or PDF.  File sizes must be under 5 MB.  Students will not be registered with the district or allowed to attend school until the full enrollment process is completed and the district has the required documents on file with the Registrar’s Office. Documents needed to upload during online registration are:  

  • Copy of Child’s birth certificate
  • Copy of Immunization records
  • Copy of State issued ID of the parent on the birth certificate.  If unavailable, a parenting plan or other legal document must be supplied to the school.
  • Acceptable Residency  Verification Documents:
  • Two (2) current and different utility bills (gas, water, or electric) showing the parent/guardian’s printed name and address.  Bills must be dated within the last 30 days.  Final or disconnect notices will not be accepted.
  • OR
  • A current rental agreement or closing settlement statement less than 60 days old. 

 

The information you provide does NOT need to include financial details; these may be covered or deleted.  Other bills (e.g. cell phone, cable, insurance) are not acceptable proof of residence.   All documents submitted for residency verification must show a guardian’s name and match the in-district address provided in the SIS K-12 Parent Portal.

 

SCREENING: Kindergarten screenings will take place April 11-21 at Hallsville Primary School.  Once online registration is complete, families will receive an email notification to sign up for a screening date and time.
