Hallsville Youth Opportunities & Events
Hallsville Scholastic Book Fair
Hallsville Intermediate and Primary Schools will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair in March! Students can preview and shop during their regular library class days.On Saturday, March 20 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.the book fair will be set-up in front of the intermediate school front lot! Stop by and pick up some books for your child.

Any student in 3rd-5th grade may try out to be in the Talent Show which will take place on Friday, March 26. Students are encouraged to enter with a variety of acts- music, dance, comedy, tricks, etc. Acts are to be two minutes long or less.
The Talent Show will be held in the Intermediate School Commons with each grade level taking a turn to sit in their assigned lunch seats and enjoy the performers from their grade level while the other two grade levels watch via Zoom. Zoom links will also be shared with parents so they may enjoy the performances as well. I can’t wait to see your talents!

Registration is now open for Hallsville Summer Little League! You must register online by clicking the flyer link above. Little League is open to boys and girls entering kindergarten through 8th grade. Please email Erika Wildenhain at ewildenhain@gmail.comwith any questions.

Join the Hallsville Twister Hockey League for their free “Learn to Play” clinics in March! Students ages 5-17 are able to register, and clinics are held near the fairgrounds at the Whitney Briggs Memorial Hockey Arena. To register, “like ”Twister Hockey League on Facebook and send them a message to reserve your child’s spot!

Join the local Girl Scout Troops as they host a Girl Scout Cookie Drive-Thru Cookie Booth! They will be in the Hallsville Intermediate School front lot selling cookies on Saturday, March 6 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.Cash only will be accepted during the drive-thru. Parents as Teachers: Car Seat Safety Checkup
The Parents As Teachers Program will be sponsoring a Car Seat Safety Checkup on Wednesday, March 17 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.in the parking lot. Due to COVID, appointments will be required. Please email Karen Smith, PAT Educator, at ksmith@hallsville.org, or call 573-696-5512 ext. 6310 to set-up an appointment.

Join the City of Hallsville on Saturday, March 27 Easter event! From 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., the city will host the Easter Bunny and local businesses for a drive-thru event with treats at Tribble Park.

Check out a list of adult and children’s events happening at Daniel Boone Regional Library! Programs for February include a virtual visit to The Elephant Sanctuary, Tickles & Tunes: Songs for Spring, The Power of Positive Workshop, and spring break activities.

The Hallsville Food Pantry takes place the fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the Hallsville Baptist Church. Food is provided at no cost for families in need. Please contact the church at 573-696-3621 the third week of the month to set up an appointment. Dates for each month are also posted on the district’s calendar which can be found online here or on the app!

Free counseling for Boone County youth and families is available through FACE, the Family Access Center of Excellence of Boone County.FACE will help youth (ages 0-19) and their families connect to services such as mental health, social services, parenting support, and activities for home during these challenging times.
