Welcome to the Communications Department
The Hallsville School District is dedicated to open, transparent, bidirectional, and ongoing communication, essential for engaging and building relationships with our stakeholders and promoting a climate of trust between the school district and its patrons. We are committed to keeping the lines of communication open and being proactive by providing the most up-to-date information in a variety of formats to most effectively reach multiple audiences with the purpose of building and strengthening relationships between the District and its students, families, employees, community members, and stakeholders and supporting the district’s mission, vision, and goals.
The district recognizes the role of the media in providing news and information to the community. The Communications Department will assist in providing information about the district in a timely and accurate manner. Pursuant to Hallsville School District Board policy, news media members are asked to contact the Communications Department with requests to interview, photograph, or film administration, teachers, staff, and students.

The Hallsville School District uses a schoolwide notification system, ParentSquare, to communicate with families and employees quickly across multiple channels. These systems seamlessly integrate with our student information system, allowing us to contact families and employees with vital information.
To receive timely information, families should ensure that their contact information (including all phone numbers, email addresses, and physical address(es)) is accurate and up to date in Infinite Campus. To update your contact information, please email registration@hallville.org.
-
Infinite Campus is the district’s online student information system that stores our student information and grades. Parents and students are encouraged to stay connected to monitor academic progress. Through Infinite Campus, parents can view their child's report cards, attendance, lunch balances, disciplinary information, and class schedules. If you need assistance with your Infinite Campus parent login, please contact your child’s front office.
Infinite Campus offers “Campus Parent,” a free app that lets you easily view student grades, attendance, course schedules, and meal service balances. Secondary students are encouraged to download “Campus Student,” a free app that lets them easily view student grades, attendance, course schedules, and meal service balances. The app can be downloaded from the iTunes Store or Google Play.

An e-newsletter from the District Communications Office is published every two weeks during the school year and includes school news, community information, and event/activity dates. If you have information for the eNews, email communications@hallsville.org.
-
The board-approved district calendar is available on our website. In addition, the district has a Google calendar that you can subscribe to via iCalendar or RSS feeds. The district calendar can also be viewed in ParentSquare.
-
As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly and to embrace innovative technology, we moved from paper to digital eflyer delivery. With our Peachjar eflyer program, eflyers are sent directly to parents' email inboxes and posted on the school website and within ParentSquare.
