PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Monday, October 26, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Conferences provide a valuable opportunity for families and teachers to connect, celebrate student progress, discuss areas for growth, and work together to support student success.

Hallsville Primary and Intermediate Schools will schedule conferences using Parent Square. Progress reports and grade cards prior to conferences.

Hallsville Middle School will schedule conferences by grade level via Parent Square. There are a limited number of conference slots available. If you are unable to schedule a conference time on these dates, please reach out to your child’s teachers to set up a meeting.

Hallsville High School will offer open conferences, and parents can meet with core and non-core teachers. The High School Counseling Department will also host a Senior Info Night during parent-teacher conferences, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Parents and students are invited to learn more about college applications, FAFSA, scholarships, academic resumes, and more!

All families and grade levels are highly encouraged to attend fall conferences!

Report an Upcoming Absence

Parents can now report upcoming student absences directly through ParentSquare! This feature makes it easier to notify your child's school when they will be absent.

How to Report an Absence:

  • ParentSquare App: Tap Attendance at the bottom of the screen, then select the + button.

  • Web Browser: From the ParentSquare homepage, select Attendance under Communicate, then click Report Absence.

Select your student, the date(s) of the absence, whether it will be a full or partial day, and the reason. You can also include a message or attach documentation, such as a doctor's note.

Please Note: This feature is designed for reporting absences in advance. If your child has already missed school, you can respond to the attendance notification sent through ParentSquare to submit a note.

Dismissal Changes

To help ensure a safe and orderly dismissal, families are encouraged to maintain a consistent after-school routine and discuss dismissal plans with their children.

If a change is necessary, please notify your child's teacher and building secretary through ParentSquare by 12:00 p.m. Be sure to include specific details about the change. Requests made after noon should be limited to emergency situations.

As a reminder, anyone authorized to pick up your child must be listed on the student information sheet on file with the school office. Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and organized for all students!
